About the Award

The IEEE Power & Energy Society Outstanding Student Scholarship was established by IEEE PES in 2019 and is funded by the PES Endowment Scholarship Fund. It recognizes outstanding IEEE PES graduate student members engaged in research in the fields of electric power and energy. No more than 20 recipients are selected worldwide each year, making it one of the highest honors for graduate students in the global power and energy community.

Applicants must be nominated by two to four IEEE Senior Members or IEEE Fellows in good standing. The IEEE PES Scholarship Selection Committee conducts a comprehensive evaluation based on academic achievements, societal contributions, and leadership qualities before determining the final list of award recipients.
