To further improve the organization of National Natural Science Foundation project applications, on the morning of January 21, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized the “2026 National Natural Science Foundation Application Mobilization Meeting” in Room 3-503, West Main Building. Outstanding postdoctoral fellows of the department, Ran Zhaoyu, Zhang Qinghao, and Ren Chunpin, were specially invited to share their experiences on fund applications. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department, Yu Zhanqing, and more than 40 participants attended the meeting, which was hosted by Professor Peng Lisha.

Professor Yu Zhanqing delivered a mobilization speech, stating that the National Natural Science Foundation is an important part of the university’s scientific research work, providing crucial support for young faculty to carry out basic research. In recent years, the number of applications has grown rapidly, and he hoped that everyone would plan early, carefully polish their proposals, discuss them thoroughly, and strive to complete this year’s applications with high quality.

Subsequently, three recipients of the NSFC Young Scientists Fund, Zhang Qinghao, Ren Chunpin, and Ran Zhaoyu, shared their fund application experiences in detail, covering application strategies, topic selection principles, key points for each chapter, writing paradigms, commonly used search websites, and points of attention, as well as their personal insights.

During the Q&A session, participants exchanged and discussed issues such as application considerations and coordination and allocation of different types of fund applications.
