From October 14 to 16, the first Nature Conference on Perovskite and Organic Photovoltaics (Nature Conference: Perovskite and Organic Photovoltaics–From Academia to Industry) was held in Nanjing. The conference gathered top experts from both China and abroad to exchange academic insights on the latest research and industrialization progress in perovskite and organic solar cells.
Li Hang, a PhD student from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) (admitted in 2020), gave an oral presentation titled "Vacuum Thermal Evaporation for Efficient and Large-Area Perovskite Solar Cells." In his talk, he reported on the recent research progress made by Associate Professor Yi Chenyi’s team in the field of vacuum thermal evaporation of perovskite optoelectronic devices and large-area photovoltaic modules. All the oral presenters at this conference were scholars who have made outstanding achievements in the field of solar cells, and Li Hang was the only invited PhD student.
The first Nature Conference on Perovskite and Organic Photovoltaics was jointly organized by Nanjing University, Renshine Solar, and the journals Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Materials, and Nature Communications. The conference featured specialized presentations on topics such as material design, optoelectronic property research, device fabrication and testing technologies, long-term stability assessments, and mass production processes. The conference focused on the core technologies and frontier challenges in the photovoltaic industry, emphasizing the critical role of innovative technologies in enhancing industry competitiveness. The event highlighted hot and difficult issues, stressing the technical and professional aspects, accelerating the leadership of innovative technologies, and aiming to enhance the core competitiveness of the photovoltaic industry. The conference also contributed to the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry and supported the implementation of China’s "dual carbon" goals.
