On September 10, 2018, Prof. Ricardo A. Ramírez Mendoza, Dean of the National Institute of Science and Engineering, Tecnolgico de Monterrey, Mexico, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering. Prof. Lu Zongxiang, deputy Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering, on the behalf of the Department of Electrical Engineering Tsinghua University, warmly welcomed Prof. Ricardo A. Ramírez Mendoza's visit, and introduced the history, faculty, scientific research and personnel training of the Department. Dean Ricardo A. Ramrez Mendoza praised the Department of Electrical Engineering as one of the leading research institutes in the field of electrical engineering in the world, and expressed his strong willingness to cooperate with the Department of Electrical Engineering Tsinghua University, including personnel exchange, student training and scientific research projects. After intensive discussions, the two sides reached further consensus on future cooperation and exchanges. Lu Lei, Vice Director of Overseas Project Department of the Scientific Research Institute, Assistant Prof. Lu Chao, Assistant Prof. Sun Kai, Assistant Prof. Yu Zhanqing and Assistant Prof. Xu Lie attended the exchange meeting.
Prior to the meeting, Dean Ricardo A. Ramírez Mendoza visited the Power System Dynamic Modeling Laboratory and the High Voltage Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Teachers Wang Bin and Yu Zhanqing introduced the research platform of the Department of Electrical Engineering and the latest research results in the field of energy Internet. Dean Ricardo A. Ramírez Mendoza highly appraised the research achievements of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
