From August 5 to 9, 2018, the Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power and Energy Society (PES) was held in Portland, Oregon, US. The theme of this annual conference is "Re-imaging the Electric Grid". About 3,200 researchers and engineers from the global power and energy fields attended the conference. Prof. He Jinliang was awarded the 2018 IEEE Herman Halperlin Electric Transmission and Distribution Award, the first Chinese Mainland scholar in 59 years since its establishment.
Nineteen papers contributed by the Department of Electrical Engineering were recruited by the conference. Eight papers were included in the oral presentation, including two excellent papers (Best Paper):
In addition, two Transaction papers of Department of Electrical Engineering were invited to attend the lecture.
