From May 11 to 15, the 17th Asia-Pacific Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (APCNDT) was held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Hosted by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), the conference was themed “Breaking Barriers: NDT Solutions for a Changing World — Innovate, Adapt, Transform.” The event brought together experts, scholars, and industry representatives in nondestructive testing from more than twenty countries and regions worldwide to discuss cutting-edge developments and innovative applications in the field.
Professor Huang Songling and Professor Peng Lisha from the Department of Electrical Engineering attended the conference as representatives of the Chinese Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ChSNDT). They participated throughout the conference in a number of important academic and organizational activities, including the General Assembly Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Federation for Non-Destructive Testing (APFNDT GA Meeting). During the meeting, they formally submitted China’s bid to host the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and delivered a campaign presentation systematically outlining China’s progress and advantages in nondestructive testing research, applications, and international cooperation.
