More than ten council members attended, with President Kang Chongqing and Secretary-General Yu Zhanqing of the Tsinghua Alumni Association EEA Chapter attending as observers. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Li Canbin of the Shanghai Alumni Association EEA Committee. Li Canbin summarized and reported on the committee’s main work over the past years. He mentioned that under the leadership of the Tsinghua University Shanghai Alumni Association and the Tsinghua Alumni Association EEA Chapter, the committee has focused on national key development strategies, centering on the development of the power industry and serving alumni, and has been committed to conducting academic exchanges, promoting cooperation among alumni enterprises, and addressing key challenges for the industry and alumni, achieving significant results in all aspects.
Alumnus Zhou Qing, Director of the Shanghai Alumni Association EEA Committee, noted that alumni work is a long-term and systematic endeavor, requiring not only the sustained organizational efforts of the committee but also the active participation of all alumni. Over the past year, the committee’s achievements would not have been possible without the joint efforts of each committee member and the support of the Tsinghua Alumni Association EEA Chapter. Looking ahead, the committee hopes to continue adhering to its mission of “uniting alumni, serving alumni, and supporting alumni,” continuously improving work quality, optimizing event content, and creating alumni activities with Shanghai characteristics. It also looks forward to continued attention and support from the EEA Chapter to advance together.
During the themed sharing session, council members put forward ideas and proposals for improving alumni services in the Shanghai region from different dimensions and perspectives. In the discussion session, representatives of the council exchanged views on topics such as alumni development in Shanghai and effectively implementing lifelong learning for alumni.
