On December 1, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) at Tsinghua University visited Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) for research and exchange. The delegation was led by EEA Dean Professor Kang Chongqing and Party Secretary Zheng Zedong, along with members of the department's administrative and Party committees, faculty from the State Key Laboratory for New Type Power System Operation and Control, the Tsinghua University Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute, and the Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, totaling more than ten participants.

Seminar at Wuhan University
At the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation of Wuhan University, the delegation was welcomed by Party Secretary Ma Shujie, Dean Dong Xuzhu, and other faculty members. During the seminar, Dean Dong Xuzhu extended a warm welcome to the Tsinghua EEA delegation, highlighting the long-standing friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two institutions. He expressed the hope that both sides could further enhance collaboration in areas such as industry-education integration, joint lab construction, student exchanges, research projects, and the application of research achievements.
Professor Kang Chongqing thanked the School of Electrical Engineering for their warm reception, emphasizing the strong ties between Wuhan University and Tsinghua EEA Department. He hoped that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to deepen the exchange and cooperation between the two universities.
Vice Dean Yuan Jiaxin Wuhan University and EEA Associate Professor Zhang Pinjia introduced the development status of their respective disciplines. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as party building, academic exchanges, joint research, cooperation on research projects, talent cultivation, and administrative management.

Before the meeting, the delegation visited the Cultural Wall of the School of Electrical Engineering of Wuhan University to learn more about the history of the school and its various achievements.

At Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), the delegation was welcomed by Dean Hu Jiabing, Party Secretary Zhang Ming, and other faculty members. During the seminar, Dean Hu Jiabing warmly welcomed the Tsinghua EEA delegation and expressed gratitude for the prior friendly communication. He hoped that both institutions would engage in deeper cooperation following this meeting.
Professor Kang Chongqing remarked that he hoped this visit would further strengthen the friendship between the two universities and foster joint efforts to contribute to the development of the national energy and power industry.

Seminar at Huazhong University of Science and Technology
Party Secretary Zheng Zedong and Associate Professor Zhang Pinjia of EEA introduced the department’s party building and talent development initiatives. Party Secretary Zhang Ming and Vice Dean Qin Bin of the School of Electrical Engineering at HUST shared their experiences on party building and graduate education. Li Liang, Director of the State Pulsed High Magnetic Field Science Center, gave an introduction to the national key scientific infrastructure for pulsed high magnetic fields. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the construction of dual-innovation collaborative platforms for electrical engineering party building, laboratory development, faculty team building, and talent cultivation.
