On the list of “World’s Top 2% Scientists Version 6” released by Stanford University in October 2023, a total of 45 teachers from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Tsinghua University were included in the influential list for the year 2022. The list is based on the Scopus database and was published by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis’ team at Stanford University in collaboration with Mendeley Data, a subsidiary of Elsevier. The evaluation is conducted using six key indicators: total citations, Hirsch H-index, co-authorship-adjusted Schreiber Hm-index, sole author, sole or first author, and sole/first or last author article citations. The emphasis of the assessment is on the “impact” of research papers. The list identifies the top 2% of scientists worldwide, covering 22 fields and 174 sub-disciplines.
