On the morning of March 22, 2022, a group of more than ten people from Beijing Smart Chip Company, led by Zhao Dongyan, Vice President of State Grid Information and Communication Industry Group and Executive Director and Party Secretary of Beijing Smart Chip Company, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics, and the two sides held a symposium on scientific research.

The symposium was chaired by Zheng Zedong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics. Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department, delivered a welcome speech. Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of the Department, gave a detailed introduction to the scientific research work and the outline of each research team.

Zhao Dongyan said that the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University has strong strength for scientific research, and the research direction has a high degree of overlap with Smart Chip. The two sides should strengthen exchanges and carry out in-depth cooperation for technical demands. Zhao Xianlong, deputy general manager of the R&D Center, introduced the outline of Beijing Smart Chip Company, and discussed the cooperation mode and technical fields.

Participants from both sides introduced the work foundation and technical requirements of their respective teams. Everyone unanimously expressed the hope that this exchange could reach cooperation based on the principle of complementary advantages and common development, make full use of the scientific research and human resources of Tsinghua University, and combine the industry advantages and R&D platform of Beijing Smart Chip Company to promote the deep integration of production, education, research and application in the fields of modeling, power electronic devices, materials, sensors and so on.

Present at the symposium were Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics, Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of the Department, Zheng Zedong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department, and more than 20 teachers from various research institutes and the Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute.
