On September 8, the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the StateGrid ShanghaiEnergy Internet Research Institute. Thetwo parties will cooperate in the fields of data center energy supply, virtual power plants, safe and reliable power supply for mega-cities, integration ofphotovoltaic energy storage and charging, coordinated control of hydrogen energy, new power system and dual-carbon planning in the Yangtze River Delta,andthe construction ofthenational energy Internet industry and technological innovation alliance, etc.

At the signing ceremony, Chairman Zhao Peng andDean Kang Chongqing delivered speeches, reviewed the important contributions of both partiesto the development of China’s electric power industry, hoping to expand cooperation inscientific research breakthroughs, product development,standard formulation, demonstrative application, andtalent training depend on their advantages in technologies and resources,further leverage the role of the National Energy Internet Industry and Technology Innovation Alliance as a platform to promote the in-depth integration of industry, university, research and application, and achieve more outstanding and innovative scientific research results.

After the signing ceremony, leaders of the China Electric Power Research Institute and the StateGrid Shanghai Energy Research Instituteaccompanied the Tsinghua University team into the technical exhibition hall of the China Electric Power Research Institute, andlearned about the achievements of the China Electric Power Research Institute since its establishment.
