On April 10, the 2nd Leading and Innovating Doctor of Engineering Forum hosted by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University was successfully held in Jintan, Jiangsu. Xue Yusheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Head of State Grid Electric Power Research Institute, Guan Guoxing, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China National Salt Group Jintan Company, Wu Songyi, Deputy General Manager of CNSG Jintan Company, Professor Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics of Tsinghua University, Chai Jianyun, Mei Shengwei, Dong Xinzhou, professors and supervisors of doctor of engineering, and doctors of engineering of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics attended the forum. The forum was chaired by Zhang Jindan from the Postgraduate Teaching Office of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics.

He emphasized that the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics has been attaching importance to the academic exchanges of doctors of engineering and established four normalizedforums fordoctorsof engineeringevery year, and he also encouraged doctor of engineering to join the energy revolution in the new era and actively promote the implementation of innovative demonstration projects.

During the report time, Professor Dong Xinzhou first gave an expert report on "Feeder Automation System Based on Advanced Relay Protection Technology PTU". Lingxu Guo, Ph.D. of Engineering admitted in 2018, shared his Ph.D. report titled "Application and Practice of Artificial Intelligence Technology in the Field of Power Grid Dispatching"; Liu Chun, Ph.D. of Engineering admitted in 2020, shared the coordinated development of new energy and flexible regulation resources in the carbon peak scenario; Qu Dongming, Ph.D. of Engineering admitted in 2020, analyzed the charging and discharging system of new energy vehicles in combination with the advanced technology of TGood to realize multi-energy and multi-network interaction; Wang Guohua, Ph.D of engineering admitted in 2018, detailed the technological advancement and systematic flexibility of the national salt cavern compressed air energy storage power generation system demonstration project, as well as the superiority of CNSG salt cavern gas storage, and introduced the progress of related scientific researches on the national demonstration project of salt cavern compressed air energy storage power generation system. After the report time, the participating experts and the doctors of engineering made full discussions and in-depth exchanges on the subject.

In the afternoon, Academician Xue Yusheng and the doctors of engineering visited the project site of the national demonstration project of salt cavern compressed air energy storage power generation system, and Guan Guoxing detailed the advanced injection and production technology of CNSG, as well as the feasibility and reliability of salt cavern storage of natural gas. Academician Xue Yusheng pointed out that the salt cavern energy storage project is promising, and the natural underground salt cavern will provide unlimited possibilities for the development of the energy storage industry. The doctors of engineering also visited the Towngas storage and underground salt cavern collection wellheads and the Hua Luogeng Memorial Hall of the Jiangsu Patriotism Education Base.
