The project, designed to satisfy the major strategic demand for new energy development in China, has broken through a series of difficult problems in 10 million kilowatt wind and photovoltaic power cluster, such as resource power characteristic analysis, cluster power control, multi-source-grid source coordinated control, equipment development, system integration and demonstration application, etc., built a demonstration base of 10 million kilowatt wind and photovoltaic power cluster source network coordinated control system in Hexi Corridor for the first time, covering 84 wind farms (12.82 million kilowatts), 154 photovoltaic power stations (8.07 million kilowatts), 4 thermal power plants (2.4 million kilowatts) and 1 UHV DC converter station, and has realized the leap from following to leading the large-scale new energy control technology in China. With great economic and social benefits, the achievement has been generalized in 12 provinces and regions, including Qinghai, Heilongjiang and Shanxi.
