On the morning of April 11, the Sino-British Symposium on Electric Power Market was held in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Applied Electronic Technology (EEA), Tsinghua University. Scholars and experts from China and the United Kingdom shared the basic situation, relevant technologies, experiences and lessons of their own electric market construction, and exchanged and discussed the future development planning, challenges and other issues. More than 40 participants, including representatives from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Bureau of Energy, relevant universities, scientific research institutes, the British Embassy and the Swedish Embassy, attended the meeting. The symposium was chaired by Chen Qixin, associate professor of the EEA and vice director of Energy Interconnection Research Institute. Prof. Kang Chongqing, director of the EEA, also attended the Symposium.
