On January 15, 2019, the list of persons enjoying special allowance from the Government of the State Council in 2018 was approved and published by the State Council. Prof. Dong Xinzhou of our department was included.

Prof. Dong Xinzhou has been engaged in teaching and scientific research of relay protection in power system for a long time. He took a lead in study on the fault traveling wave analysis and the traveling wave protection based on wavelet transform, and invented the traveling wave protection and fault location of power lines, which won the second prize of National Technology Invention Award in 2017 and 2007 respectively (Ranking 1 and 2 respectively).
