Team Research Direction
The undergraduate research team is named “Large Capacity Power Electronics and New Type Power Transmission”. Its goal is to integrate the fundamental theory of power electronics with key technologies in new power transmission, focusing on the forefront of power conversion and transmission technologies in the energy interconnection network, aiming to establish an internationally leading research team in power electronics and new power transmission. The team's positioning is to pursue both fundamental research in power electronics and key applied technologies, to internationalize and cross-disciplinize research in power electronics and new power transmission, and to focus on innovative research directions and talent development for the energy interconnection network.
The main research directions of the Large Capacity Power Electronics and New Type Power Transmission team include:
1) Research on the fundamental theory of large-capacity power electronic conversion systems
2) Research on power electronic technologies for energy interconnection
3) Theory and application of wireless power transmission
In the coming years, on one hand, building on the foundation of leading Natural Science Foundation major projects (2015-2019), breakthroughs in the fundamental theory of large-capacity power electronics will be achieved; on the other hand, through the combination of fundamental theory and key technologies, critical technologies for power energy router systems in distribution networks and bidirectional wireless charging systems for electric vehicles will be realized.
