Team Research Directions
1. Non-destructive testing and safety assessment of in-service facilities
Research on defect detection, monitoring, and safety assessment of in-service facilities such as oil and gas pipelines, nuclear power pipelines, and wind turbine main shafts, utilizing big data and cloud computing to conduct health monitoring of facilities and equipment structures. The team achieved the first domestic monitoring of the health status of oil and gas pipelines, developed the first set of domestic underwater oil and gas pipeline defect detectors, reached the international advanced level, and became one of the few teams in the world mastering the technology of internal inspection of long-distance oil and gas pipeline defects.
2. Monitoring, protection, and verification methods for large electrical equipment performance
Research on fault monitoring and big data analysis-based performance monitoring, protection, and verification methods for large electrical equipment; research on equivalent test methods for large current transformers used in generators to resist external magnetic field interference; research on remote meter reading and calibration methods for digital meters; research on electromagnetic environment calculation methods for transmission lines under complex conditions.
3. Electromagnetic sensing and signal processing technology
Research on high-precision three-axis electromagnetic array imaging sensors; research on the architecture of intelligent dynamic synchronous phasor measurement units and their signal processing; research on wireless energy transmission, pulse energy storage high-power power supplies, and magneto-electric composite material sensors.
