Personal Profile
Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor. Graduated from Tsinghua University, Department of Electrical Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in 2001 and a doctoral degree in 2006, and has been teaching at Tsinghua University since then. Visited Washington State University and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in the US as a government-sponsored scholar from 2013 to 2014. Core member of NSFC Innovation Group. Leading Talent of Sichuan Province Thousand Talents Program. IET Fellow, IEEE Senior
Member, CIGRE Member. Currently serves as the Director of the Research Center for Novel Power System Simulation Intelligence at Tsinghua Wuxi Applied Technology Research Institute. Serves as an Editorial Board Member for 9 domestic and international journals. Chairs the IEEE PES Working Group on GPU and Heterogeneous Computing based Power System Analysis. Serves as the Vice Chairman of the Digital Twin Professional Committee of Integrated Energy Systems, China Simulation Federation. Serves as a Member of the Advanced Computing Standardization Technical Committee for Electric Power, China Electricity Council. Serves as the Secretary-General of the IEEE PES (China Chapter) Power System Digital Twin Technical Subcommittee.
Main research areas include Power Energy Digital Twin, High-Performance Computing for Power Systems, and Cyber-Physical Security and Defense. Hosted 7 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 1 Joint Key Project and 2 International Cooperation Projects), 3 sub-tasks of National Key R&D Program Projects, and 1 sub-project of National Defense 973 Program. Authored 5 monographs, won the First Prize of the 4th China University Press Book Award. Published over 200 academic papers, including 73 SCI papers. Received the 2019-2020 IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion Best Paper Award, the 2021 IEEE PES Electric Machinery Committee (EMC) Prize Paper Award, and the 2023 IEEE PES Prize Paper Award.
Developed the high-performance cloud simulation platform for power systems (CloudPSS.net), with over 10,000 registered users at home and abroad. Successfully applied in 24 power grid companies, 12 universities, and key equipment manufacturing enterprises such as CSIC and China Railway. Won 4 First Prizes and 6 Second Prizes in provincial and ministerial level science and technology progress awards.
