1. Personal Profile
Dr. Ci is a Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, IEEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, and Founding Director of Ministry-China Mobile Joint Laboratory on ICT-Energy Technology, Team Leader of Efficient Integration and Control of Electrochemical Energy Storage in State Key Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control, Global Visiting Professor at Technical University Munich, Chief Scientist for China Energy Internet Development Strategy Research funded by National Energy Administration. He was a tenured associate professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, and a distinguished researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research areas include modeling, control and optimization of complex systems, with emphasis on their applications on the Internet and the Energy Internet. He has published over 400 academic papers and applied for more than 300 patents in these areas. As the principal investigator, he has led numerous research projects, including NSFC Projects and National Key R&D Projects. Dr. Ci serves as an editor or guest editor for several top-tier international journals. He first proposed the concept of "Digital Energy Processing and Computing" and created the cutting-edge interdisciplinary field of "Dynamic Reconfigurable Battery Network". He acquired a series of prestigious recognitions, including China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, 1st Prize of the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Competition, Gold Medals of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition, 1st Prize in the "Top 10 Scientific Advancements in China’s ICT Industry".
