Abstract
This presentation will cover the principle and application of direct torque control and sensorless control of permanent magnet machines and drives, high speed motors, and influence of manufacturing tolerances on the torque ripples, as well as noise and vibration. Worked examples will be illustrated and the emphasis will be on the research and development experience.
