报告人简介：

Prof Gareth Taylor joined Brunel in May 2000 from the University of Greenwich in London. He is now the Theme Leader of Smart Power Networks within the Institute of Energy Futures at Brunel University London. His current research interests include: Smart Grids, Renewable energy systems; Micro-generation; Reactive power & voltage control; Power systems & network communications; Power system & network operation; Power system economics & electricity markets.

He was also the project coordinator for a major FP7 Energy & ICT Smart Grids project (2010-2013) entitled ‘High Performance Computing Technology for Smart Distribution Network Operation’ HiPerDNO. He is currently the UK lead investigator on a major EPSRC & NSFC Smart Grids project (2013-2016) entitled ‘Developing Scalable Smart Grid Infrastructure to Enable Secure Transmission System Control’. He is also the lead investigator on another prestigious British Council Global Innovation Initiative research project (2014-2016), entitled ‘Design and Development of International Electricity Highway Systems
