About the Beijing “Most Beautiful Science and Technology Workers” Program

The Beijing “Most Beautiful Science and Technology Workers” selection program is jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. Since 2021, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, together with multiple government departments, has annually selected ten outstanding science and technology professionals through procedures including broad mobilization, multi-level nomination, qualification review, and expert evaluation, drawing upon the national “Most Beautiful Science and Technology Workers” publicity initiative jointly launched by six central government departments including the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the China Association for Science and Technology. The ten science and technology professionals receiving the title in 2026 include veteran scientists who have devoted themselves to scientific research rooted in China’s scientific and technological development, leading researchers playing critical roles in tackling key core technologies, and young science and technology workers serving as pioneers on the path toward high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and strength. Their work spans fields including materials science, energy, computer science, biology, medicine, and transportation. The selection program aims to identify and promote exemplary science and technology professionals who love the Party, the country, and socialism, and who are committed to serving the people through science and technology and writing their papers on the soil of the motherland. It seeks to inspire scientific and technological workers with a stronger sense of honor, pride, and responsibility in advancing the new journey toward socialist modernization, while fostering a strong atmosphere of diligence, dedication, and national rejuvenation through practical work within the scientific community.
