On December 4, 2024, iEnergy (ISSN: 2771-9197) was officially indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database of Web of Science, which is owned by Clarivate Analytics. It will receive its first Impact Factor in 2025. The ESCI database will backtrack and index all articles published in iEnergy since its inception, allowing these articles to be cited and indexed on the Web of Science platform. This marks another significant achievement for the journal following its inclusion in the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Phase II" in 2024, and its indexing by major international databases such as Ei and Scopus. It also reflects the recognition from the international academic community of the journal's publishing capabilities and potential.

Introduction to ESCI Database

The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a full-text index of high-quality journals selected based on the standards set by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). It includes both international and multidisciplinary journals, as well as journals that focus on regional or niche areas. ESCI, along with SCI, SSCI, and AHCI, forms part of the Web of Science Core Collection. Since its launch in 2015, ESCI has indexed more than 8,200 high-quality journals worldwide, covering 254 research disciplines with over 3 million records and 74 million cited articles from 2005 to the present.

About iEnergy

iEnergy (Journal of Electrical Power and Energy) is a fully open-access English academic journal hosted by Tsinghua University and published by Tsinghua University Press. IEEE is responsible for its international dissemination, with academic support from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics at Tsinghua University and Professor He Jinliang serving as the editor-in-chief. The journal was first published in March 2022, is a quarterly, and has published 3 volumes and 11 issues, with a total of 124 articles. The published papers have received over 700 citations from 29 countries and 179 journals. Cited journals include top journals in the field such as Applied Energy and Advanced Energy Materials, as well as multidisciplinary journals such as Angewandte Chemie, Energy, and Advanced Materials.
