On the morning of December 19, the "Tsinghua Friends - Sieyuan Electric Scholarship" award ceremony was held successfully in the meeting room of West Main Building. Attendees included Dong Zengping, Chairman of Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd., Li Gang, Director of the Market Strategy Department, Zhang Xiujuan, Deputy Director of the Market Strategy Department, Ben Peili, Deputy Director of Human Resources, Zheng Zedong, Party Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Yu Zhanqing, Party Deputy Secretary of EEA, and Zhong Haiwang, Leader of the Party Graduate Work Group. The ceremony was hosted by Zhong Haiwang.

Zheng Zedong, on behalf of all the faculty and students of EEA, warmly welcomed the guests. He introduced the talent cultivation system of EEA and the career paths of its graduates, expressing gratitude to Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd. for its ongoing strong support for the training of students, including in areas such as scholarship donations and the establishment of research platforms. He further pointed out that the establishment of the scholarship helps strengthen communication between EEA and Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd., guides students to understand corporate culture, and encourages them to dedicate themselves to the power and electrical manufacturing industry, ultimately achieving a win-win situation.

Dong Zengping affirmed the achievements in talent cultivation within EEA and congratulated the students receiving the scholarship. He introduced the development of Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd., its investment in research and development, and its talent cultivation model. He expressed the hope to further strengthen research collaboration with EEA and looked forward to more Tsinghua students joining the manufacturing industry, contributing to the high-quality development of the sector.

Yu Zhanqing introduced the scholarship evaluation criteria of EEA and the selection process for the Sieyuan Electric Scholarship. He mentioned that the Sieyuan Electric Scholarship is one of the most widely distributed scholarships, covering different grades and specializations, and showcasing the excellent performance of students in various fields. He emphasized that the Sieyuan Electric Scholarship serves as a significant motivation for student growth and success, encouraging students to consider industry development as an important reference when making career choices.

Li Gang introduced the mission, corporate values, development history, research and development center status, and industrial products of Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd. He particularly highlighted the company’s determination to innovate in the field of technology and, through sharing his own experiences, encouraged students to be proactive, strive for excellence, and lead the development of new productive forces through innovation.
