On the afternoon of August 5, a delegation of eight people, including Dong Chaowu, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute, Yang Weihong, President of “Electric Power Construction” magazine, Mei Nian, Director of the Science and Technology Department, Qi Qingru, Chief Engineer of the Main Grid Planning Center, Wei Xihui, Assistant to the President of “Electric Power Construction” magazine, and Liu Zehuan, Human Resources Specialist of the Organization Department, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Tsinghua University for research and discussion. Kang Chongqing, Dean of the department, Wu Wenchuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Hu Wei, Assistant to the Department Dean, and Xie Xiaorong, Deputy Director of the Carbon Neutrality Research Institute also participated in the discussion.
Wu Wenchuan accompanied Dong Chaowu and his delegation on a visit to the Department’s History Exhibition Hall, where a rich display of panels and physical exhibits provided an in-depth introduction to the department’s development and outstanding achievements since its establishment.
During the meeting, Kang Chongqing warmly welcomed Dong Chaowu and the delegation from the State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute. He mentioned the good cooperation relationship among EEA, the State Grid Research Institute, and “Electric Power Construction” magazine in the past, and expressed hope to further strengthen communication and collaborative research. Hu Wei introduced the research work of the department, focusing on the key research areas and achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Xie Xiaorong, Hu Zechun, and Xu Qingyu introduced their respective research efforts. Dong Chaowu and Yang Weihong provided updates on the work of the State Grid Research Institute and “Electric Power Construction.”
In the end, both parties engaged in extensive discussions on matters such as research collaboration, talent development, journal cultivation, and jointly organizing academic activities, reaching a preliminary cooperation intention.
