From May 17 to 20, 2024, the 10th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC 2024-ECCE Asia) was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Professor Li Yongdong, Associate Professors Sun Kai, Zheng Zedong, Zhang Pinjia, Associate Researcher Wang Kui, and several students from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics attended the conference. Li Yongdong served as the Vice Chairman of the Conference Steering Committee and chaired the plenary session.

The conference accepted a total of 902 full papers, featuring 56 paper presentation sessions and 2 poster sessions. A total of 335 authors presented their papers, and 567 papers were displayed as posters. Awards were given for 10 Best Session Organizers, 8 Excellent Papers, and 8 Excellent Posters. Wang Kui received the Best Session Organizer Award, PhD student Zhang Mingqi received the Excellent Paper Award, and undergraduate Yang Mingyu received the Excellent Poster Award.

The International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC) aims to provide a friendly and interactive platform for experts, scholars, technical personnel, and young students from the global power electronics academic and industrial communities to discuss and share the latest international research results and cutting-edge technological developments in the field of power electronics and motion control. This year’s IPEMC conference brought together more than 1,300 participants from Asia, North America, Europe, Africa, and Oceania, setting a new record for attendance. Participants engaged in high-level, multidimensional, comprehensive, and international academic exchanges and cooperation through keynote speeches, paper presentations, pre-conference technical workshops, special sessions, and industrial forums. The conference showcased the latest frontier technologies in the field of power electronics and significantly promoted international exchange and technical cooperation in the related professional fields of power electronics and motion control.
