On November 11, the 2023 China Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Conference and the 26th Academic Annual Meeting and Exhibition of the China Power Supply Society (CPEEC & CPSSC 2023) were held at YueXiu International Convention Center, Guangzhou. The conference aimed to promote academic and technical exchange in the fields of power supply, power electronics, and energy conversion, foster collaboration between industry, academia, and research, and stimulate technological innovation and progress in related industries and their supply chains. The conference accepted over 1,100 papers in both Chinese and English, with attendance exceeding 2,000 participants. During the event, the society awarded Tsinghua University the “Outstanding Contribution Unit Award” in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the field as the society celebrated its 40th anniversary. Professor Li Yongdong from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) at Tsinghua University accepted the award on behalf of the university. Additionally, Associate Professor Zheng Zedong from EEA presented a summary of the committee’s work over the past year and outlined the focus for the coming year on behalf of the Committee on Transportation Electrification.
In 2023, China Power Supply Society celebrated its 40th anniversary. During the commemorative ceremony, the organizers presented awards for outstanding contributions to individuals and units, recognizing those who have supported the society, driven industry development, and made outstanding contributions to the field of power supply over the past 40 years. Several faculty members and students from Tsinghua University have actively participated in society activities and worked to advance the development of the power supply industry, making it one of the award-winning institutions.
Established in 1983, China Power Supply Society is dedicated to promoting the scientific and technological progress of power supply in China and the development of the power supply industry. It has 14 professional committees and has actively organized academic conferences, conducted continuing education activities, and established “CPSS Science and Technology Award” to promote technological progress, independent innovation, and industrial upgrading in the power supply industry. Professor Li Yongdong and Associate Professor Zheng Zedong from EEA serve as the director and deputy director of the Committee on Transportation Electrification, respectively.
