On the afternoon of March 10, a group of 14 people, including member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager Shen Yu, Deputy Chief Engineering Tian Xin, Chief Expert Wei Wei, and New Energy Center Director Zhou Yuhao of China Huadian Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CHDER), visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) of Tsinghua University and had a discussion with the State Key Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control (State Key Laboratory for short) on the deployment and promotion of major projects in orientation of scientific and technological innovation in the integrated regulation of desert, gobi and wild field bases. Xu Fei from the State Key Laboratory, Lu Zongxiang, Vice President of Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, Hu Wei, Assistant Dean of EEA, and EEA teachers including Chen Qun, Chen Lei, Zhang Ning, Wei Wei and Zhong Haiwang attended the symposium. The symposium was chaired by Chen Lei.

Xu Fei from the State Key Laboratory of Tsinghua University firstly welcomed the visit of CHDER and introduced the positioning of the State Key Laboratory: focusing on major national strategic needs, giving full play to the advantages of organized scientific research mechanisms in universities, and solving bottleneck problems. Xu Fei said that the State Key Laboratory will work with peers from CHDER to implement the integrated regulations projects of the desert, gobi and wild field bases in terms of theoretical research, project demonstration, and industry-university-research innovation.

Shen Yu, member of the party committee and deputy general manager of CHDER, fully affirmed the recent negotiation and promotion work between CHDER and the State Key Laboratory in the major scientific and technological orientations in the desert, gobi and wild field bases, and said that the desert, gobi and wild field bases are major base demonstration projects for China to construct new type power systems, and CHDER is full of confidence in jointly undertaking this great mission. Subsequently, Director Zhou Yuhao of CHDER introduced the overall planning for the integrated regulation technology research of the desert, gobi and wild field clean energy bases.

Chen Qun, Chen Lei, Lu Zongxiang, Zhang Ning, Wei Wei, Zhong Haiwang and Cai Yuanji, et al. shared their views with experts from CHDER on the orientations of technological innovation in the desert, gobi and wild field bases in combination with the research orientations of their teams. The two sides reached a preliminary intention for specific cooperation, completed personnel docking and confirmed the work plan in the next step.
