Recently, China Association for Science and Technology issued the “Notice on Printing and Distributing the Result of Elected Experts for the HOME Program (Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas) of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) in 2022”, and Professor Li Yongdong and Associate Professor Zhang Pinjia from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Tsinghua University recommended by China Electrotechnical Society are elected as experts in the field of “advanced equipment and technology”.

In order to implement the “Guiding Opinions of China Association for Science and Technology on Strengthening the HOME Program Work”, provide excellent contact services for high-level overseas scientific and technological talents, better support the development of local science and technology economy, and further enhance the construction of a team of experts for the HOME Program, the CAST International Cooperation Department issued a document in November 2022 to organize the election of specially hired experts for the HOME Program of CAST. After recommended by provincial-level science and technology associations, academies, societies and relevant units across the country, formally reviewed by CAST, further reviewed by experts and approved by the leading group of the HOME Program, 619 experts were finally hired as HOME Program experts in four categories namely “Academic Experts”, “Industrial Experts”, “Managerial Experts” and “Comprehensive Experts” for a period of three years from January 2023 to December 2025.
