On the morning of January 4, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) held the first ideology meeting in 2023 online and offline. More than 20 people, including members of the Party and Government Joint Committee, members of the Academic Committee and heads of scientific research teams of EEA, attended the meeting. Yu Xinjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of EEA, presided over the meeting.

Zhang Pinjia, Assistant Dean of EEA, first reported the establishment of a committee for the strategic planning and development consultation of electrical discipline. Participants talked freely and brainstormed on the background, composition, name and other related matters of the committee. In full communication, the thoughts were unified, the direction was clarified, and the purpose for in-depth thinking, stimulating thinking, and straightening out ideas was achieved.

Then Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of EEA, and Zhang Pinjia, Assistant Dean of EEA, briefly introduced the progress of the “EEA’s Innovation Action Plan for 2030”. According to the unified deployment of the University, EEA will advance steadily on the basis of the previous work.

Kang Chongqing, Dean of EEA, made a summary of the meeting. He pointed out that 2023 is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a link between the past and the future for the full implementation of the “14th Five-Year Plan” and the starting year toward a new century after the 90th anniversary of EEA. He emphasized that we should take this ideology meeting as an opportunity to build consensus, promote practices and guide and actively explore related frontiers.
