In order to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) of Tsinghua University, EEA and the Proceedings of the CSEE, sponsored by the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), launched a commemorative edition.

This special issue selects 28 papers, which represent the latest achievements and important progress of electrical engineering in the fields of academic research, technological innovation, industrial application, etc., as well as a profound thinking on the development of the discipline under the background of realizing the dual-carbon goal and building a new power system.

It mainly discusses hot topics such as “Key Technologies of Energy and Electricity Supporting Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality”, and introduced EEA’s latest research, education and teaching methods in “Large Grid Planning and Operation”, “Smart Grid”, “Power Electronics and Electric Drive”, “Motor and Electrical Appliances”, “High Voltage Technology”, “Electrician Theory and New Technology”.
