On May 7-8, the third plenary meeting of CIS Committee of Key Materials and Technologies for Electronic Components was held in Xi'an, and the list of winners of annual academic awards was announced. After the preliminary application for nomination, voting by the review committee, and assessment by the director's office, the list of winners was finally confirmed, on which, Professor Dang Zhimin from EEA won the "Outstanding Contribution Award", and Associate Professor Li Qi from EEA won the "Young Talent Award".
The "Outstanding Contribution Award" of the Committee of Key Materials and Technologies for Electronic Components rewards scholars who are over 45 years old, have made important scientific discoveries in the field of natural sciences, or made important technological breakthroughs in the field of engineering technology. 1 winner is selected nationwide each year, and the winner of "Outstanding Contribution Award" this year was Professor Dang Zhimin from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics, Tsinghua University. The "Young Talent Award" is established to reward young scholars who are under the age of 45, engaged in the research of electronic components and have made outstanding achievements. 2-3 winners are selected nationwide each year. The "Young Talent Award" was granted to three winners, namely, Associate Professor Li Qi from Tsinghua University, Researcher Ren Kailiang from CAS Beijing Institute of Nano Energy and Systems, and Professor Liao Min from Xidian University.
