A few days ago, Researcher Ci Song of EEA, Tsinghua University was elected a TUM (Technische Universität München) Global Visiting Professor in 2019-2020, and was appointed as a member of the well-known TUM-IAS (Institute for Advanced Study). The TUM Global Visiting Professor Program offers the opportunity to recruit excellent professors from international partner universities for temporary teaching and research collaborations, thus further promoting the internationalization of TUM. It serves to attract new, innovative approaches to cutting-edge research at TUM as well as to internationalize TUM curriculum.
The Technical University of Munich is one of the oldest technical universities in Germany and a member of TU9. DFG awarded TUM the title of "Elite University" three times in 2006, 2012 and 2019. TUM is the key object to be funded and supported in the German government "Future Plan". In the 2020 QS World University Rankings, TUM ranked first in Germany and 55th in the world; in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, TUM ranks second in Germany and 43rd in the world. TUM is one of the largest informatics departments in Germany, with more than 40 professors doing research on informatics and engineering informatics as the core. Researcher Ci Song will cooperate with the team of TUM professors on machine perception, cognition and control in the fields of information energy, mobile power, artificial intelligence and real-time systems.
Ci Song is now a researcher of Tsinghua University, a former associate professor (tenure) and director of the Intelligent Ubiquitous Computing Laboratory at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was elected as the project leader of the Chinese Academy of Sciences "100 talents Plan" and the national major project "New Broadband Mobile IP Carrier Network Architecture Research, Key Technology Research and Experimental Verification", chief scientist of the China Energy Internet Development Strategy Research Group of the National Energy Administration (2013), head of the pre-research project group of the Energy Internet Action Plan of the National Energy Administration (2015), and member of the editors' group of the "Guidance on promoting the Development of Internet + Smart Energy (Energy Internet)" and "Guidance on P0romoting the Development of Energy Storage Technology and Industry" (2016) of the National Energy Administration. At present, he is mainly engaged in large-scale complex system modeling and optimization theory and their application in information Internet and energy Internet. Up to now, he has published more than 300 papers, applied for more than 100 patents, presided over many national scientific research projects in China and the United States, and is a member of the editorial board or specially invited member of the editorial board of many top international journals, chairman or member of the technical procedure committee of many conferences, and a senior member of IEEE and member of ACM.
