The results of the 8th THU Young Teachers' Teaching Competition were announced recently. Four young teachers were selected from the Department of Electrical Engineering & Applied Electronic Technology (EEA) Tsinghua University (THU) to participate in the engineering group competition. Among them, Lin Jin won the first prize of the engineering group, Liu Feng and Zheng Zedong won the second prize of the engineering group, and Hao Li won the third prize of the engineering group. In this competition, the young teachers in the EEA devoted themselves to the teaching and played well, showing their teaching ability and professional level.

The EEA has a fine tradition of attaching importance to teaching, and strives to improve the teaching level of teachers through various channels. All along, EEA’s leaders, trade union and teachers attach great importance to the teaching contest for young teachers. They actively organize young teachers to participate in the competition, promote teaching by contests, regard the teaching contest as a useful platform for young teachers to grow up and become talented, actively exert collective strength and the role of senior teachers in the preparation process, and constantly improve the basic teaching skills of young teachers. Over the years, the EEA has won many good results in the teaching contest for young teachers of Tsinghua University, which has played a positive role in promoting the overall level of teaching and the quality of personnel training.

The eighth THU Young Teachers' Teaching Competition attracted 82 young teachers from 35 departments. They were divided into three groups: science group, engineering group and liberal arts group. There were 13 students from 5 departments in science group; 47 students from 20 departments in engineering group; 22 students from 12 departments in liberal arts group.
