The 2018 Annual Meeting of Green Energy and Electrical Safety of Beijing International Sci-Tech Cooperation Center was held in Tsinghua University on Nov. 05, 2018. Vice-President of the Office of Scientific R&D, and Prof. Kang Chongqing who is Director of Department of Electrical Engineering in Tsinghua University attended the Annual Meeting and delivered speeches. Prof. Dong Xinzhou who is Director of the Center gave the Working Report 2018 and the working plan 2019. The Cooperation Center started its first executive years from 2015 to 2017. After being evaluated as an “Excellent Unit” at the end of 2017 by Beijing Science and Technology Commission, it continued to start the second executive years after approval. The year of 2018 was the first year of its second executive years. The experts at home and abroad thought highly of the Center’s work performances 2018 at the annual meeting, and proposed the positive suggestions to the working plan for the next year.
The following four international experts of the academic committee attending the Annual Meeting of the Center include: A.G. Phadke who is Academician of US CAE and Professor ofVirginia Polytechnic Institute and State University,Charlie Henville , former Chairman of IEEE PES Relay Committee and expert of Canadian relay protection, Seung Jae Lee, Professor of Myongji University, South Korea and IEEE Fellow, Vladimir Terzija, Professor of University of Manchester. In addition, and Doc. Yi Yonghui, vice-General Manager of XJ Electric Co., Ltd.. In addition, Prof. Yu Xinjie, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President and Associate Prof. Lu Zongxiang, Prof. Zhang Boming, Prof. Zhao Zhengming, Prof. He Jinliang, Associate Research Fellows Wang Bin and Shi Shenxing of Department of Electrical Engineering, THU, also attended the meeting.
After the meeting, the four international experts were invited to deliver academic reports on current hot problems in current international relay protection field. Prof. Phadke made a report onthe Future Protection Systems; Prof. Charlie Henville gave a report onthe Real Consequences Follow Imaginary Power Deficiencies, Prof. Seung Jae Lee delivered a report onthe Direct-circuit Analysis based Fault Location for Distribution Systems; Prof. Vladimir Terzija made a report onthe Prevention of Power System Blackouts. Prof. Dong Xinzhou presided over the meeting. Such teachers as Ding Qingqing, Xie Xiaorong, Wang Bin and Shi Shenxing, as well as more than 30 postgraduates attended the meeting. All participators conducted heated discussion and exchanges on the reports.
