The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Future Power Electronics Workshop was successfully held in Tsinghua University on July 21, 2018. This workshop is an important international forum in the field of power electronics sponsored by the IEEE. It is organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University. Its support units include the Beijing Branch of IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), Tsinghua Energy Internet Research Institute, State Key Laboratory of Safety Control and Simulation of Power Systems and Large Power Generation Equipment and the Tsinghua University Member Center of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. As a diamond partner, both Chroma Electronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. as gold medal partners have provided sponsorship together.

The Workshop was attended by 230 representatives from more than 60 universities, research institutes and enterprises at home and abroad. After the meeting, delegates and speakers discussed in depth and warmly the frontier hotspots and technical problems in the fields of electrified transportation equipment technology, power electronics technology in regional integrated energy system, application of new wide-band power devices, the power supply for high-performance data center, and the power system with electrical electronization and so on.
