On the afternoon of May 21, Professor Sergio Cavalier, Vice-President of the University of Bergamo, Italy, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering. Professor Yu Xinjie, deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the DEE, Tsinghua University, met with Vice-President Cavalier and his associate in the West Main Building, and discussed in depth how to strengthen the exchange of visits between the two sides.

During the talks, Professor Yu Xinjie welcomed Vice-President Cavalier's visit on behalf of the faculty and students of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Details were agreed on the preliminary conclusion that doctoral and undergraduate students of the Department of Electrical Engineering will be sent to the universities of Bergamo and Naples in Italy for short-term visits this summer vacation.

Vice President Cavalier thanked the Department of Electrical Engineering for its warm reception. He said that the University of Bergamo and Tsinghua University have established good exchanges and cooperation. The doctoral and undergraduate students of the Department of Electrical Engineering are welcome to visit the University of Bergamo for a short time this summer. It is hoped that this will be the starting point for expanding the scale of exchange visits among students, promoting academic and cultural exchanges and interdisciplinary cooperation.

Mr. Vittorio Zanetti of the Knowledge Transfer Department of University of Bergamo and Luo Jiao, a student work assistant at the Department of Electrical Engineering, attended the meeting.
