报告人简介：John A. McDermid 教授是大英帝国勋章获得者（OBE）、英国皇家工程院院士（FREng）、特许工程师（CEng）、特许IT工程师（CITP）、英国计算机学会会士（FBCS）、英国工程技术学会会士（FIET）、英国安全与可靠性学会会士（FSaRS）、英国皇家航空学会会士（FRAeS）、英国高等教育学会会士（FHEA）。硕士毕业于剑桥大学，博士毕业于伯明翰大学，英国约克大学教授。主要研究领域为系统安全性工程，目前已出版和编著专著6部，发表350余篇学术论文，在国际学术界和工业界均享有极高的地位和声誉。

John McDermid has been Professor of Software Engineering at the University of York since 1987. He set up the High Integrity Systems Engineering (HISE) research group in the Department of Computer Science and was Head of the Department from 2006 to 2012. HISE studies a broad range of issues in systems, software and safety engineering, and works closely with government and industry, e.g. Airbus, BAE Systems, the Civil Aviation Authority, the MoD, QinetiQ and Rolls-Royce.
